Your Hosts

Aaron Jeffery

I have been shooting almost exclusively astrophotography for 5 years. I’ve mastered techniques in capturing landscapes with the Milky Way and other celestial bodies. Long exposure noise reduction by image-stacking, focus-stacking, light-painting, and other methods will be taught in our workshop. I have extensive experience boating (I carry Transport Canada SVOP & MED A3 qualifications) and camping on the Georgian Bay. I enjoy sharing its beauty with other photographers of a similar interest.

Scott Visscher

My fascination with the night sky started while up north on vacation at a family cottage.  I’ve continued to develop and enhance my technique for capturing the stars over the past several years and am thrilled to share my expertise with you; from using star stacking and light painting techniques. I love being out of the city light pollution and am looking forward to an evening with you as we capture the stars while overlooking beautiful Georgian Bay.

Other Information

The payment of $495 is a non-refundable payment for the cost of the workshop.

If there is rain and/or heavy clouds in the forecast for Friday night, but a chance of clear skies on Saturday night, the workshop will be moved forward to Saturday night. If both Friday & Saturday nights have bad weather forecasted, the workshop will be postponed to the alternate date later in the season.
